I found good use for the apples we picked: homemade apple sauce. Mason and I both drink our applesauce, which is the reason why we date. I guess it’s more common to eat it with a spoon, but I’m a barbarian.
To make it:
What you’ll need:
4 or 5 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon (unless you’re like me and love cinnamon, in which case, use two tablespoons…or three)
What you’ll need to do:
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat on medium. Cover and let simmer for 10-15 minutes. When apples begins to soften, they’re done. Mash with a fork if the apples don’t just come apart by stirring. Consume, or refrigerate.
